Hi there and welcome to Wei Lian’s official fans website!
It’s 2009. After a long wait, fans can finally look forward to Wei Lian’s third album this year where there will be his personal compositions for the very first time. Looking back, four years have passed since his step into the music scene. This album will be a reflection of the maturity and progress in his music and personality thus far.

2008 has been a fruitful year for Wei Lian. With “i.Wei Lian”, he embarked on his China album promotions from radio airwaves to television shows in numerous cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Wuhan. On top of these, Wei Lian never forgot to play his part in social and outreach programs, including performing at events to raise awareness for the local blind community. In the aftermath of the Sichuan earthquake, Wei Lian participated in the OneLove fund-raising dinner in Chengdu and visited the disaster site to help victims rebuild their homes and lives. When Olympic fever hit in the second half of the year, Wei Lian was also very honoured to be able to deliver a song performance at the opening ceremony of the sailing segment of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games held at Qingdao.

In 2007, Wei Lian marked his entrance into the Taiwan music industry with the release of his “i.Wei Lian” album. Throughout his promotional activities like guest appearances on popular Taiwan variety shows “Happy Sunday” and “Kang Xi Lai Le”, industry veterans passed outstanding remarks for Wei Lian’s song delivery. In addition, Wei Lian was invited to perform alongside famed singer Joey Rong Zu Er at the 7th Global Chinese Music Awards in Hong Kong, which was aired across regional Chinese radio and television stations.
For those of you who are joining us for the first time, we hope the introduction below will bring you closer to knowing Wei Lian and who he is.

From an ordinary busker who touched the hearts of many with his soulful singing who later emerged as overall champion in the singing competition Project Superstar in September 2005, Wei Lian's journey in the world of music has sparkled with events like the release of his debut personal album "Wo Zhi Shi Xiang Yao Chen Wei Lian" and his very own concert at the Singapore Expo in April 2006. The prior attained Double Platinum status within weeks of issue, with the later drawing thousands, young and old alike, together in a night of splendid performance.
Besides focusing on his forte singing, Wei Lian also ventured into the acting scene, starring in various local productions and clinching the Most Popular Newcomer award in the annual Star Awards.
