 Hi there and welcome to Wei Lian’s official fans website!It’s 2008, a year when Wei Lian will venture into the China market and break new grounds. While we look ahead and wish him the very best, we would also like to thank everyone for being with us this while. For those of you who are joining us for the first time, we hope the introduction below will bring you closer to knowing Wei Lian and who he is.
From an ordinary busker who touched the hearts of many with his soulful singing who later emerged as overall champion in the singing competition Project
Superstar in September 2005, Wei Lian's journey in the world of music has sparkled with events like the release of his debut personal album "Wo Zhi Shi
Xiang Yao Chen Wei Lian" and his very own concert at the Singapore Expo in April 2006. The prior attained Double Platinum status within weeks of issue,
with the later drawing thousands, young and old alike, together in a night of splendid performance.
Besides focusing on his forte singing, Wei Lian also ventured into the acting scene, starring in various local productions and clinching the Most Popular Newcomer award in the annual Star Awards.
In 2007, Wei Lian marked his entrance into the Taiwan music industry with the release of his “i.Wei Lian” album. Throughout his promotional activities like guest appearances on popular Taiwan variety shows “Happy Sunday” and “Kang Xi Lai Le”, industry veterans passed outstanding remarks for Wei Lian’s song delivery. In addition, Wei Lian was invited to perform alongside famed singer Joey Rong Zu Er at the 7th Global Chinese Music Awards in Hong Kong, which was aired across regional Chinese radio and television stations. New hearts were won, adding international fans to Wei Lian’s growing fan base at this site.
